About Colleen Kennedy

I am a coach and educator with over 15 years of experience as a consultant, founding principal, instructional leader, and teacher. I bring expertise in leadership development, the science of reading, restorative practices, and building practices for wellness with leaders and educators. As a coach, I love working with leaders and educators who love to learn and build their practice in new ways, who are navigating periods of change and transition, and who want to learn and unlearn in order to build a more just world. As a consultant, I partner with organizations who are focused on growth in literacy through the science of reading. My work involves facilitating cohorts for teachers and leaders who are building their knowledge and skills in the science of reading, as well as evaluating professional development for alignment to research-based practices and high-quality instructional materials. In all areas of this work, I believe in the power of teachers and leaders growing their instructional practice so that every learner develops their reading and language skills.
