ABOUT KENNEDY BURKE
I\'m an aspiring educator studying Elementary Education and English with a Special Populations minor at the University of Rhode Island, where I’m also part of the Honors Program. On campus, I’ve enjoyed taking on leadership roles as a Tour Guide, Senior Presenter, Orientation Leader, and O-Week Leader, while also contributing to the English Undergraduate Student Advisory Board and serving on the URI Dance Company Executive Board. These experiences have shaped my love for building community, mentoring peers, and creating spaces where students feel welcomed and supported.My passion for teaching extends beyond URI. Through roles with Kidstock Creative Theater, Winchester Public Schools, and Inspiring Minds, I’ve worked with children in classrooms and creative programs, blending arts, movement, and academics to support both learning and confidence. Whether supervising counselors, guiding literacy groups, or leading playful theater activities, I aim to make education inclusive, engaging, and joyful. Currently pursuing both a Massachusetts Initial Teaching License (Grades 1–6) as well as a Rhode Island Initial Teaching License (K-6) with a Middle Level (5-8) English extension, I’m excited to continue growing as an educator and to build classrooms where curiosity and creativity thrive.True Colors - BlueMyers-Briggs - INFJ
