Hi, I’m Sam. I’m a critically thoughtful people person, with skills in team-building, leadership and communication. I’ve also got a creative gene that won’t go away, and I\'m passionate about movement and music. Some meaningful items I keep at the forefront of my brain are- I’m motivated by people who think for themselves. I love meeting these types of people, digesting their values and why they hold them, applying their lenses to my point of view, and challenging my own beliefs. This not only helps me understand the world better, but it isolates and amplifies my strongest values after they’re put to the test by other ideas- I’m committed to trying new things, and potentially failing in order to learn. My best growth experiences have come when I’ve put myself in situations that are uncomfortable. For instance, deciding to spend a year living abroad in South America after high school was a trying, but ultimately rewarding experience as I gained new language skills, and became familiar with different cultures- I’m passionate about our natural world. I believe in the power of the connection between humans and the environment, and I plan on leveraging that in all my future endeavors.
