I have extensive Banking and Financial Services experience. I’ve worked in UK, US and Europe with RBS and then TescoBank, TSB and other specialist lenders. I have built and led Data Science teams and been a member of the executive board.At Open Banking Reporting Limited, a Fintech startup, as Chief Data Officer i provided strategic leadership coupled with hands-on development. Our product ingested cloud based accounting data and other api accessed data sources and reasoned over PnL, cash-flow, balance sheet to generate key insights and risk profile for finance providers. The solution was architected as api first on MS Azure. Python was utilised to create an innovative outlier detection and text analytics models that drive risk identification and next-best-action recommendations.At White Rock Analytics Ltd as an Independent Consultant, I built a comprehensive roadmap for a major building society to enhance their Data Science capabilities. My responsibilities included prescribing sophisticated tooling, planning data and model migrations to the cloud, and designing training programs for the analytics community. I demonstrated my proficiency in data engineering and data visualisation with Microsoft Power BI by leading the end-to-end delivery of a business intelligence project for a UK bank, overseeing a developer team and establishing a robust data pipeline and re-imagining reports
