About Kendrick Baker
Kendrick Baker is a class of 2025 J.D. recipient from Michigan Law School. He has served as Co-President of the National Security Law Society, Clerkships Chair of the American Constitution Society, and a Notes Editor on the Michigan Journal of International Law. This past summer, Kendrick worked as a Summer Associate at WilmerHale in New York. Kendrick was previously a Michigan Law Geneva Fellow at the United States Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to that, Kendrick worked in the criminal division at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Before law school, Kendrick worked as a Project Manager at Freedman Consulting, LLC, where he lead several client-facing teams that advised major NGOs and philanthropic foundations in key public policy areas including public health, mis/disinformation, criminal justice, environmental justice, economic development, conflict-zone humanitarian assistance, and broadband access.Before joining Freedman Consulting, Kendrick worked as a Strategy & Analytics Consultant at both the Department of Defense and Department of State for Deloitte Consulting. He also served on the HQ political team during Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 Presidential campaign. Kendrick has experience working in JP Morgan Chase’s Government Relations Office, the Federal Reserve’s Congressional Liaison Office, for Senator Feinstein (D-CA), for Representative DeSaulnier (D-CA-11), and at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC).Kendrick holds a J.D.(cum laude) from Michigan Law School and a B.A.(magna cum laude) in Economics and Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy from the George Washington University. In his free time, Kendrick loves to cook, go on runs, and swim.
