   Woodlands Youth Supervisor Program Management • Perform outreach, interviews, and hire participants for the Woodlands Youth Crew (WYC) Program • In collaboration with Landscape Management managers, define the season\'s goals. Develop the schedule and workflow for the season. Develop and update curriculum for all WYC activities including indoor or at-home activities in the case of extreme weather • Plan and execute professional development opportunities and collaboration projects with otherlocal nonprofit organizations • Keep track of and approve participants’ time sheets and complete daily work tracking documentation • Provide WYC Program participants with a larger environmental and educational context for their work through hands-on education and field trips • Train participants in proper tool use and work techniques and evaluate program participants\' work performance, providing consistent feedback. Restoration & Maintenance of Park Landscapes • Participate in vegetation control in all areas of the park by hand-pulling and using power tools • Prepare and maintain planting sites by clearing and removing debris, raking and leveling soil, implementing erosion control techniques, and/or digging holes • Prune trees and shrubs as required for project goals, safety, and aesthetics • Cut, clear, and remove debris in the landscape as a result of storms or general tree aging. • Plant and/or seed-prepared areas • Install, maintain, and/or remove: erosion control, fencing, woodchips, signage, and rustic rails• Remove litter and clear blocked drains • Remove hazards in the park and/or mitigate hazardous situations
