About Kendra Yevoli

When I started out as a legal secretary in my early 20\'s, I had no idea where my career would take me. An association position opened up soon after at the State Bar of New Mexico, and my career in association management began! I have been in association management for over 35 years. I enjoy challenges, variety, flexibility, people, and helping volunteers do their jobs better. It is important as a manager to communicate, lead with confidence, and maintain a vision for tomorrow in the midst of being a handyman. It is quite the adventure, and I have enjoyed the journey. I have worked with many top-notch attorneys, engineers, and commercial real estate professionals whom I highly respect. With the current economic struggles, I want to do my part to help ensure their success. It is a privilege to be a part. I have shifted my career to the Ventana Fund, who provides low-interest loans and related services to affordable housing developers who serve New Mexico’s low-income residents and high-need communities. Ventana Fund was established in 2014 as an all-volunteer organization, and since then has lent over $35 million to create and preserve over 1,100 affordable housing units across the state of New Mexico to meet the critical need for an increased supply of financing for affordable housing construction and rehabilitation in New Mexico. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation organized by private citizens and housing professionals who are dedicated to increasing the number of decent affordable homes available to New Mexico’s lower-income residents. Ventana Fund was certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in March 2015. I am privileged to be the first Executive Director hired to assist with this mission.

   The Ventana Fund is a nonprofit CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are dedicated to financing the creation and preservation of affordable multi-family housing by providing loans to developers who serve New Mexico’s low-income residents and high-need communities. Ventana Fund was created in 2014 as an all-volunteer organization and since then has lent over $35 million to create and preserve over 1,100 affordable housing units across the state of New Mexico. It currently oversees over $19 million in assets across 28 loans. The organization started as an all-volunteer organization, and over the past two years, has transitioned to working with fulltime staff. The Executive Director will spearhead the continued growth of the organization in New Mexico. The Executive Director is an experienced and highly skilled professional that provides leadership, vision, and direction to Ventana Fund. The Executive Director represents Ventana Fund to the public, leads organizational development and strategic planning, optimizes financial performance, oversees lending activities, builds donor relationships and grant opportunities, and oversees personnel. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors and is responsible for expanding systems and procedures to accomplish the mission and reach the strategic goals set forth by the Board.
