Principle Functions:Lead and manage the Residency and Fellowship Education Department, including supervision of staff.Foster collaboration with departments and units throughout the association to advance clinical specialization and subspecialization.Coordinate the activities of ABPTRFE, its Candidacy Review Panel, Onsite Visitors, and various work groups.Serve as primary liaison to ABPTRFE to ensure effective implementation of accreditation standards and processes. Maintain conditions within the department that support best practices in post-professional education and accreditation, as well as providing consultation and education for ABPTRFE’s stakeholders.Foster development of innovative ABPTRFE operations.Monitor the education and accreditation environment for changes that might require modification of ABPTRFE processes and procedures and counsels ABPTRFE accordingly.Manage the validation and revalidation of current and developing specialty and subspecialty areas of practice to guide development of descriptions of specialty practice, in conjunction with ABPTS.Serve as staff liaison to formal groups within education such as the ASPA, the APTA Collaborative for Physical Therapy Education, CAPTE, and all APTA Chapters, Sections, and Academies.Served as founding director of the Residency and Fellowship Centralized Application Service through collaborative partnership with Liaison International including leading initial formation and marketing, identified technical specifications in an abbreviated timeline, and recruited more than 80 percent of physical therapist residency and fellowship programs into the service.Led selection, onboarding, and management of the ABPTRFE Accreditation Management System through collaborative partnership with Armature Solutions including initial design, integration, and onboarding of programs, board, panel, and onsite team members.See resume for additional Principle Functions.
