As a Business and Marketing Education student at the University of Minnesota, I have developed a well-rounded skill set through a combination of academic, professional, and leadership experiences. My journey began as a running back for the University of Minnesota football team, where I honed discipline, teamwork, and resilience—qualities that continue to influence my leadership approach today. As I transitioned from athletics, I deepened my focus on academics, leadership, and mental health advocacy, emphasizing the importance of well-being in both personal and professional growth. My passion for mentorship and community engagement led me to serve as a Job Coach at the Columbus Urban League, where I guided high school students in developing critical professional skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, and workplace readiness. As a Lead Planner for UMN Twin Cities 2024 Spring Jam, we successfully revitalized the event post-pandemic, restoring its significance and strengthening campus engagement. My internship with the City of Falcon Heights further expanded my expertise in community outreach, refining my ability to build strong community relationships. Currently, I work as a Communications Assistant, where I design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to support Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), enhancing their visibility and engagement. As Basileus of the Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, I oversee organizational strategy, operations, and collaboration, reinforcing my leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills. In addition, I serve as a Student Senator representing CEHD, where I advocate for student interests, policy improvements, and initiatives that enhance academic and campus life. In this role, I collaborate with faculty, administration, and fellow student leaders to address key issues impacting the student body and contribute to university-wide decision-making. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in strategic communication, leadership, and advocacy. I am driven by a passion for empowering communities, advancing mental health awareness, and fostering meaningful engagement. My goal is to leverage my skills and experiences to drive impactful initiatives, create inclusive spaces, and contribute to lasting change.
