ABOUT KENDALL DAMON
Growing up living in the US, China, and Japan fostered my love for building connections with and learning from people with vastly different backgrounds than I. The global perspective that shaped my ability to empathize with others, combined with my time living in five vibrant cities, fuels my passion for urban climate justice and adaptation. In addition to my academic background in environmental policy, economics, and law, I have also gained valuable experience in the public sector, working as a Policy Deputy for Council Member Caroline Torosis at the City of Santa Monica, where I contributed to the development and implementation of urban climate policies and initiatives. Additionally, I interned for the LA County Board of Supervisors and on Capitol Hill, strengthening my knowledge of policy in practice and constituent communication. I also provided pro bono consulting services to nonprofit organizations through Los Angeles Community Impact (LACI), collaborating with diverse teams on projects related to environmental advocacy and education. Through these roles, I have developed core competencies in research, policy analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
