I am very grateful for the opportunity to observe physicians in the NICU at Dell Children\'s Medical Center, which has given me the experience and greater appreciation for early developmental physiology, ethical decision-making, and the profound role of communication and empathy in supporting families during vulnerable moments. In a Level IV NICU, I have gained exposure to neonatal critical care, respiratory support, feeding protocols, and family-centered decision-making. This helped me develop a deeper understanding of the physiological vulnerabilities of premature and critically ill infants, while witnessing the importance of precision, compassion, and collaboration in high-acuity medicine.
