About Kendale White

As an educational leader, I have spent my career supporting schools and educators with regard to equity, poverty, social justice, and inclusive practices.• My research interests include co-teaching, inclusion, principal leadership, and coaching. In addition, I have taught on an adjunct basis for David Lipscomb University, Cambridge College, and the University of Memphis. Further, I have presented and consulted on the local, state, and national level with an emphasis on co-teaching and inclusion, differentiated instruction, and collaboration. • I work to build the capacity of teachers and assist in planning, implementing and monitoring intervention strategies that support all students including those with exceptionalities. • During my tenure as an assistant principal, the core activities of my program of work included providing coaching and support to new mathematics and special education teachers while building capacity around the instructional shifts, common core, and TN Ready state assessments for all teachers in these specified content areas.• I foster a culture of both transparency and open communication. I have strong ties to my local community with regard to the diversity process and resolving conflict that tied to race, culture, gender, ethnicity, and various diversity-related issues.
