ABOUT KENAN MUJKIC
As Associate Partner at Gartner, I am consulting clients on digital business models, data & analytics, IT- and platform strategy, organization and operating model for their digital transformation. The clients range from the public sector, where I am advising the institutions of the European Union to the financial services, insurance, life science, pharma, manufacturing and consumer goods sector. As Entrepreneur @ Entrepreneur First, I have previously investigated various business opportunities in the financial services, digital advertising, travel & mobility, automotive and retail industries. Prior to this, I lead the product management for artificial intelligence and data services at Wirecard, a global payment provider. For the Allianz Group, I used to manage global data & analytics projects, lead the data & system engineering and manage the global big data & analytics platforms. Apart from the in-house positions, I consulted customers in various industries on strategic and digital topics for McKinsey, Deloitte, and as self-employed freelancer. As Research Associate at DESY, the German national research laboratory for particle physics, I analyzed large data sets (big data) since 2009 and developed an algorithm to detect the heavy quark contribution to the structure functions of the proton. For a period of ten years, I have worked with prominent scientists, including e.g. members of the advisory board of the world wide web committee, founders of data science, data engineering and data warehousing, co-inventors of the quark-parton model, and founders of modern physics. For innovative research, I have been awarded a PhD in high-energy physics from University College London (UCL), and a Diploma in theoretical particle physics from the University of Hamburg (UHH). I have been a scholar of the Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung Academic Foundation, obtained a PhD-studentship jointly awarded by UCL and DESY, and wrote my Diploma thesis at the French elite school Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) de Lyon.
