It seems like a big career jump—going from lending to heading up a stem cell therapy center. After years in the loan industry, I couldn’t have imagined that I would be working to bring a fantastic treatment to the middle of the country. I couldn’t have imaged that I would see lives changed—every single day—with a medical technology that had been out of reach for most people here. But no matter where I’ve been, my work has always been about helping people succeed. Whether I’ve helped farmers and ranchers to grow their operations or made a life-changing treatment more accessible to Midwesterners, my best accomplishments have been helping people to have a better life. That’s what motivates me to come in every morning, and what pushes me to do just a little bit more before I head home at night.I work on helping our center become a better place. I focus on expanding and growing the business by creating critical partnerships, keeping track of the financial plan, and looking forward to a bigger future as we prepare to expand. I work on making sure that our policies and procedures are continually improving so that we can always deliver the best in care and service. There are a lot of different plates to keep spinning, but I wouldn’t trade this work for anything!I’m not the one actually treating people (thank goodness!), but I really enjoy interacting with the clients who come through our doors. Whether it’s veterans recovering from devastating injuries, farmers coping with painful conditions, or traumatic brain injury patients regaining their independence, everyone has a story. It’s a privilege to hear their stories, and it’s an honor to help them get just one step closer to where they want to be.
