Perform Occupational Health and Safety inspections of field offices and customer export worksites where personal provide analytical and field services. Manages the safety and occupational health program in support of field office and field stations throughout all areas of operation. Provides guidance, direction, and assistance in the development of new and/or revise current directives, policies, procedures, program notices, operating systems, and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with agency safety and occupational health regulations, standards, executive orders, and federal statutes, as well as industry best practices. Provide guidance and mentorship related to managers, supervisors, and employees. Evaluate current training and develop new training consistent with national standards and industry best practices. Perform Industrial Hygiene (IH) surveys. Facilitate the development of job hazard analysis (JHA) for each job classification and utilize the information from the JHA to facilitate the control of hazards. Respond to employee concerns and complaints related to health and safety hazards. Work with management and other agencies to develop a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) plan and Occupant Emergency Plans (OEP) while incorporating lessons learned from past natural and man-made disasters and other emergencies. Work with OSHA compliance officers, and managers when performing inspections or responding to employee complaints. Work with customers, exporters, and shareholders to develop sound working relationships to help bridge ideas and share materials that enhance health and safety for both the customer and agency personnel. Serve as either primary investigator for accident investigations. I possess working knowledgeable and functional understanding of OSHA, DEQ, EPA, NFPA, ASTM, ANSI, ACGIH, AIHA, ASHRE, DOT, USCG, ADA, NIOSH, workman’s compensation, and many other regulations which I refer to many times throughout my work week.
