About Ken Ng
I am an experienced cybersecurity engineer with a robust background in industrial control systems. With a Master\'s in Business Management and a Bachelor\'s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, I have spent over two decades honing my skills in cybersecurity and automation. My career began at Telvent Automation where I developed & supported communication protocols for the Oasys SCADA system, then at Centerpoint Energy where I supported SCADA systems and developed innovative solutions for gas measure & control. At Chevron, I have progressed to a Senior OT Cybersecurity Engineer position, leading initiatives to safeguard critical systems and networks. My work involves establishing Cybersecurity (CS) guardrails and developing engineering standards to mitigate operational risks. I have successfully commercialized data diodes and led CS projects across multiple business units. My passion for OT drives me to stay current with emerging security technologies, ensuring robust defenses against evolving threats. Now I am in a specialized team scout and evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies for both IT & OT including Agent AI and Quantum Security solutions. I\'m knowledgeable in NIST CS framework and also certified in IEC/ISA 62443.
