Directs the company’s engagement in federal, regional, state, and local policy and political issues including regulatory, legislative, and environmental issues. Responsible for leading the comprehensive development, execution, and oversight of government, community and economic development, and regional transmission organization (RTO) initiatives that position the company as an industry and community leader. As such, the position is tasked with formulating and executing strategic and tactical action plans to support business profitability, customer satisfaction, and risk mitigation. Essential functions include the following: • Work with CEO and senior executives to achieve company goals. • Form regulatory, environmental, and political goals and opportunities. • Align divisional goals consistent with corporate strategy. • Cultivate strong relationships with key external stakeholders. • Engage civic opportunities to position company as community leader. • Lead and coordinate lobby teams to promote business objections. • Lead and coordinate RTO interactions to promote business objections. • Lead, develop, and motivate all divisional team members. • Foster an inclusive, results-oriented team environment. • Plan and control divisional operating budget. • Adapt divisional plans and priorities to address resource challenges.
