Jim Meccia, Board Chairman, founded Statewide in 1979 after spending over 25 years working for prominent title companies. Jim built the company on principles that still characterize our business today: “Stay close to the client and be a good listener. Our job is to make their job easier and effortless.” Jim still continues to preach this message throughout the Statewide office.30 years ago, Statewide consisted of four employees and a small office in White Plains. The real estate market continued to prosper, and the company successfully grew in response to the emerging needs of both long-term and new clients. In 2007, the company expanded and opened a title insurance office in Manhattan and Long Island.Alan Meccia, CEO, manages the legal staff and over 30 employees. His 35 years experience in the title insurance industry brings credibility and knowledge to our loyal clients that have generated over policies. Alan’s company-wide goal is to offer our clients a smooth transaction from origination to closing.Ken Meccia, President, has led Statewide’s marketing and sales division since 1981. Under his management, the company has expanded from its beginnings in Westchester County to serving clients throughout the tri-state area as well as nationwide. Through the company’s success, coupled with Ken’s vision to open a Manhattan office, our national business has increased 65% over the last three years. “Move quickly, efficiently and share knowledge,” has been Ken’s motto for the past 25 years.
