About Ken Kniel
I am a fourth generation engineer and chose civil engineering due to the opportunities in the state. Started out of college working in south Florida just as the major stormwater rules were beginning to be implemented. Worked for a firm whose owner was on the board of the SFWMD and was exposed to many aspects of stormwater modeling and permitting. Developing plans and designs to meet the ever developing permitting criteria and obtaining these permits have always been challenging and rewarding as I worked my way up through the ranks from design/project engineer to manager of a group of stormwater engineers and environmental biologists. Solving challenging problem and using applicable engineering criteria has always and remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

Manager of the Water Resources group at DRMP Inc. that provides drainage deisgn, stormwater modeling and environmental permitting for various projects concentrating typically on retro-fit projects for various municpalities and and roadway projects throught out the state of Florida. Started in drainage design and permitting for roadway projects, land development projects and municple retro-fit projects.
