Interact face-to-face with customers/policyholders, contractors/sub-contractors, vendors, public adjusters, government agencies, and co-workers within State Farm, performing in-person inspections to resolve claims-Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and conclude claims involving both, weather-related and accidental events that will require a physical inspection of the property, home, commercial, boat, etc. This also includes verification of coverage, legal liability, and extent of damage to property, which will require contact by telephone, correspondence or in person. This may involve large loss, multiple contacts, complex coverage issues, litigation, and multiple site inspections. Claims may be submitted by Insureds and/or third parties, or claims assigned from other claim units, for additional or specialized investigation as necessary for claim resolution -Apply knowledge of state and federal laws, statutes, and insurance regulations in claim handling -Prepare, review, & reconcile property estimates, and contents estimates in loss settlements on non-complex property damage losses and personal property losses, and issues replacement cost benefits payments -May complete phone scope of damages with the assistance of the policyholder including a detailed description of property damage, identification of building items, measurements to complete building estimates, along with inventory of damaged personal property -Litigation files may be handled.
