About Ken Grant
I have worked in education since 1976 as a teacher, coach, administrator and school head. In 1996, I was the founding Headmaster of Hyde School’s Woodstock, CT campus. I am energized by strategic planning that thinks outside the box and I enjoy finding and executing creative solutions to problems and issues. I have always loved starting things, fixing things, and building things.I’m a teacher at heart and continue to work hard at it. In the mid-ninety’s I came up with the following personal mission statement that I remain devoted to.\"I seek to lead a life of deep purpose and meaningful service that inspires and ignites possibilities, potential and discoveries within others. I devoted myself to satisfying this by maintaining a positive and enthusiastic view of life and by one on one caring, listening and motivating. I will express myself with clear information, integrity, personal attention and respect. My spirit of dedication to this purpose will be a promise which others can rely on, which new people will be attracted to and which I will live by. In order to fully honor my mission and potential, I will save a part of myself for pleasure, adventure, renewal and family.\"My wife Claire and I have enjoyed our life together since 1979. Our three children are out of college, out of the house, and off the payroll. Grand Lake Stream, ME is our home-away-from-home and where we maintain a seasonal lakeside “camp”.
