About Ken Cain
With more than 24 years of law enforcement experience, I currently serve as Deputy Chief of the Clinton Police Department, where I have been assigned since November 2024. Prior to joining Clinton, I concluded a distinguished career with the Connecticut State Police, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In that capacity, I led the Office of Field Operations—the agency’s largest and most visible division—overseeing statewide patrol functions, specialized units, and operational strategy. My professional experience encompasses counter-narcotics enforcement, emergency management, large-scale operational coordination, and community-focused policing initiatives. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to advancing professional standards, strengthening organizational accountability, and implementing high-quality, intelligence-led policing practices. In addition to my executive leadership responsibilities, I serve as an adjunct instructor for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), delivering critical infrastructure protection and national preparedness courses to first responders across the country. My academic credentials include a Juris Master from Liberty University, a Master’s Certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven. I am also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, further strengthening my foundation in executive leadership and public safety administration.I remain committed to continuous professional development and to mentoring the next generation of law enforcement leaders while serving the Clinton community with integrity and professionalism.
