Have played pedal and lap steel guitar since 1966, with my earliest mentor being Kealoha Life. Performed with hundreds of artists, and on 136 albums. Sold ZB steel guitars in early 1970\'s, and now buy and sell used pedal steel guitars and service them. I have taught many UK players over the years, and still teach from beginners through to advanced players. Also co-ran the British Steel Guitar Guild in the 1970\'s. Career highlights were playing in the Hallen Stadium in Zurich in the early 80\'s with a number of top US country stars, and topping the bill in the New Victoria Theatre, London in 1976. Played on the international Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree in Dallas in March 2014.Currently gigging on pedal steel guitar with the Mark Jacobs Band, and on pedal steel and lead guitar with Ed Nix & Busted.

ABOUT KEN BYNG
Having combined 2 careers at once over the last 30 years, with that of managing a large section in local government along with live performances and recording, I am now retired from my post as a Local Government Officer, and am now back working in my original career as a musician full time. I import and sell 6-string guitars and pedal steel guitars, perform at live venues and work as a session musician in my studio when situations and time allow. I want to help grow the number of pedal steel guitar players in the UK, and have a regular teaching class in Southampton.
