ABOUT KELVIN WOMACK
After a brief retirement from 30 years of Consulting, I was recently presented an opportunity to lead something that falls at the intersection of three of my passions, childrens’ health, inclusion, and leadership. On September 3rd I was honored to join the leadership team at St Jude in standing up its Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This strategic thrust was initiated by St Jude to continue the evolution of something the founder Danny Thomas, envisioned and started in 1962; to build a hospital that treats children regardless of race, color, creed or socioeconomic status. St Jude\'s diversity and inclusion strategic initiative will build on that legacy by adding more focus to attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce and strengthening an inclusive institution that delivers the best care to St Jude\'s diverse patient population.My role is to collaborate with the leaders, faculty and employees of St Jude to magnify and empower the individual strengths of all of its professionals so that their diverse experiences and thinking can be harnessed for greater productivity, morale and collaboration. This includes ensuring that all levels of the institution reflect and represent the global, diverse patients and employees that provide and receive care at St Jude.
