The Manager of the Sample & Planning Management group is responsible for incoming and outgoing sample management, controls of the flow of testing documentation and QC planning/forecasting. The Manager works closely with the Technical Services and laboratory testing team to ensure that testing for release, in-process, and stability samples occurs in a timely fashion and is promptly reported to QCs customers. Additionally, the team provides logistical support for execution of study protocols and manages QCs inventory of reference standards.Responsibilities* Manage a team responsible for receiving, tracking inventory and disposal of samples and standards submitted to QC (including raw material, in-process, release, retain, stability, reference standard and protocol samples).* Ensure QC and its customers have visibility to sample tracking, effectively document handling and storage of samples from receipt through destruction.* Systematically track and maintain the flow of electronic and hard copy documentation related to QC laboratory testing from the time of sample submission to test results reporting to QCs customers.* Manage the inventory of QC retain samples and reference standards.* Operate to the highest ethical and moral standards.* Adhere to quality standards set by regulations and Abzena policies, procedures, and mission statement.* Works in a team setting and communicates effectively both in writing and verbally.* Manage projects efficiently ensuring deadlines are met in a timely manner.
