Executive Board member of the Amey Local Government business and responsible for all Commercial and Bidding activities within the £1.2billion Service Business across the Highways,Waste and Environmental sectors. Leader of a large multi-disciplined team with 6 senior directors and 25 other reports, accountable for achieving Industry Best Practice in commercial, estimating and bidding areas. Key responsibilities within this role include- Exec member as lead decision taker on all complex commercial matters including the management of commercial opportunity and short, medium and long term risk strategy- Creation and implementation of Ferrovial and Amey plc strategy growth plans with the aim of securing CAG of 7% per annum- Presentation of new business to Amey UK plc to ensure that bidding is undertaken within the requisite approval guidelines approvals are granted by our ultimate parent Ferrovial- Lead on the acquisitions and disposals of business for the Division- Redesign of commercial and bidding processes and systems to create a winning service offering, exceeding client demand and external competitor offerings- Implementation of post-contract commercial structure focusing on operational performance along with opportunity and cost management so maximizing operational margins on our existing contracts- Management of commercial team to ensure a accurate cost/value reporting and timely cash collection on all Contracts- Preparation, submission and presentation of Business Unit Budgets, quarterly reports to Amey Uk Plc and Ferrovial- Introduction and management of Project Improvement Plans on failing Contracts resulting in margin turnaround on those contracts.
