About Kelsey Stevens

I am a Principal at Wakely Consulting Group, LLC, in Tampa, Florida. I am a senior healthcare actuary and I serve health plans, providers, and government agencies on both commercial and government programs. I have deep expertise in several Medicare markets. My experience lies in pricing and rate development, preparing regulatory rate filings, product design, developing provider reimbursement and risk sharing arrangements, analyzing the feasibility of participating in the Medicare Advantage program or CMMI programs, trend analyses, financial reporting, and forecasting. I am a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Statistics and a Master of Business Administration. I am a frequent speaker at actuarial and industry meetings and served as the co-chair of the Value Based Care Strategic Initiative for the Society of Actuaries (SOA). I was elected by my peers to serve a three-year term on the SOA Health Section Leadership Council. Prior to joining Wakely in 2012, I worked for two years at a small health and life consulting firm and spent five years at Florida Blue.
