ABOUT KELSEY JOHNSON

Mrs. Johnson began her hospitality career with a passion for service in the food and beverage sector. After earning a B.S. in Hospitality Management from the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business in 2010, she continued her education at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, VT, earning a Certificate of Pastry Arts. She then spent five years as Lead Decorator for a premier custom cake shop in Newburyport, MA before beginning her Human Resources career with boutique hospitality management company, Hay Creek Hotels. Beginning as Human Resource and Accounting Manager at Hay Creek’s flagship location in Exeter, NH, Mrs. Johnson quickly progressed to Corporate Human Resource Manager, a position she continued in for 8 years. In that role, Mrs. Johnson played an integral part in full cycle executive recruitment and onboarding, multi-state payroll setup and processing, benefit systems implementation, culture programming, and learning and development planning. She was a key member in HR Task Force, transitions, and new resort openings for a growing national portfolio. In 2023, Kelsey joined EOS Hospitality as Area Director of People and Culture for the Kennebunkport Resort Collection in Kennebunkport, ME and Red Jacket Mountain View Resort in North Conway, NH. She now serves as a Director of People and Culture for the Northeast region, including the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich, MA, and Red Jacket Beach Resort & Spa in South Yarmouth, MA. Kelsey resides outside of Portland, Maine with her husband, Jesse, and mischievous pittie, Zeus. Between golf rounds and rec league sports, she continues her passion for pastry through their co-owned custom cake and baked goods business, Bear & Fox Baking Co.
