I’m a Clinical Health Psychologist for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System and Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan Medicine with research expertise in emotion regulation and mood disorders. Health PsychologistI specialize in understanding how psychological, behavioral, and cultural factors contribute to physical health and chronic illness. I apply behavioral science to improve health promotion and disease prevention with Veteran populations by encouraging healthy behaviors and lifestyle changes to prevent disease. My work heavily involves interprofessional care with other health professionals to address the physical, psychological, and social aspects of health, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.ResearcherBroadly speaking, I\'m interested in understanding how behavioral and psychophysiological processes function in the context of interpersonal emotion regulation. My primary research interests focus on examining the role of the autonomic nervous system in the onset and maintenance of mood and anxiety disorders.
