ABOUT KELSEY LEPPEK

I’m an industrial designer living and working in San Francisco with experience designing wearables, consumer electronics, beauty tech products, homegoods, furniture, softgoods, and packaging. I believe that design has the power to provide answers to questions surrounding not only tangible needs, but emotional and cultural ones as well. I’m curious about the role objects play in our world, and aim to design products that respond to the societal kairos by addressing the current cultural, emotional, and social landscape. My design approach is shaped by an eclectic work background; before pursuing design I studied pottery and worked as an artist, trail builder, wilderness therapy guide, and arts and sustainability educator in the non-profit sector. These experiences gave me insights into various industries and allowed me to collaborate on a range of projects with a wide variety of people, ultimately lending me the perspective and empathy needed to succeed as a designer. I am passionate about finding unlikely creative crossovers in my approach to problem solving.
