ABOUT KELSEY ROGERS
I am currently the Senior Manager of State Advocacy at Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan nonprofit working to advance democracy through law and policy. CLC works to safeguard elections by ensuring all votes are counted and electoral results are honored. My advocacy work centers around identifying vulnerabilities in post-electoral processes and mitigating them through legislation. I serve as a liaison between other democracy organizations at the state and national level, as well as with election officials across the country. Before transitioning to democracy work, I spent seven years at Brady, one of the nation’s oldest and boldest gun violence prevention organizations where I served as the Legal and Policy Assistant within the Legal Action Project, helping a team of attorneys in bringing civil liability cases against negligent gun dealers, then as a Researcher and Writer where I authored organizational reports and talking points, and finally as a Senior Manager of State Policy where I advocated for the passage of strong gun laws. I graduated in 2013 from Mount Holyoke College, where I obtained a B.A.in International Relations, with a focus in human rights. In my senior year, I completed an honors thesis on post-genocide memorialization in Rwanda. I was grateful to receive the prize for outstanding thesis in International Relations, and graduated cum laude with high honors in the department.
