ABOUT KELSEY ERICKSON
Prior to joining USA Cycling, I spent nearly a year working in international anti-doping. As a student and professional at Leeds Beckett University (UK), I led and supported multiple global anti-doping research projects, receiving funding from such organizations as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Athletics Foundation (IAF). My research focused primarily on developing evidence-based anti-doping education interventions and whistleblowing policies and procedures and I was particularly interested in raising the athletes’ voice and underlining the complexity of doping and whistleblowing in sport. Building on my unique research background, at USA Cycling I am committed to creating and fostering a safe sporting environment that encourages and celebrates those who have the courage to speak up on integrity issues and be a catalyst for positive change. I strive to help our athletes succeed on and off the bike, now and in the future, wherever their journeys may take them.My career is motivated by a desire to constantly raise the bar in sporting integrity and athlete welfare practices and procedures on a local, national and international scale.
