ABOUT KELSEY C.
Currently, I work for the political marketing firm, Mothership Strategies, where I design graphics for PAC emails, create client brandings, and animate motion graphics for fundraising campaigns. Working in high-stakes election cycles, I design with speed, quality, and impact.Previously, I have worked for the home fragrance company, Velas Hispaniola, where I designed candles, wax melts, and incense packaging for mass market clients.I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and have a BA in Media Arts. My degree program had a multi-media focus where I became experienced with all aspects of video production: scriptwriting, videography, lighting, sound, and post-production. Additionally, I became well-versed in animation and motion graphics. In pursuit of design, I have attained a Maxon Certification in the animation program, Cinema 4D. With School of Motion, I have also completed Adobe After Effects Kickstart and Photoshop & Illustrator: Unleashed. These project-based courses equipped me with foundational knowledge which progressed the creation of my graphics. In my earlier role, I worked as a visual designer for the relationship wellness app, Clarity, where I assisted with the creation of assets for digital channels. In addition to design, I enjoy painting in my free time and have previously worked as a painting instructor at Studio Cellar in Downtown Columbia, South Carolina. While a student at UofSC, I completed a media internship at The ART of Real Estate as well as a production internship with Prime and Prim Studio of the Arts. Throughout both, I assisted with photography, videography, and graphics for social media advertising. Additionally, I served as the Video Chair as well as the Electronic Communications Director of my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. I was also an intern in the Capitol Hill Office of Congressman Mike Johnson, where I aided with media correspondence. My passion for animation and media drives my pursuit to continue along with my creative journey. My skills include communication, adaptability, and efficiency. I am an exceedingly motivated individual in pursuit of strengthening my skill set.
