About Kelsey Bonekamp

I am currently working as the Household Manager of my home and two children. It is the most wonderful full time job I could ask for! Throughout my career, I have held various roles with the most recent being Manager Accounting Shared Services at The Shepherd Material Science Company. To get there, I followed a trajectory of growth from the beginning. I started as a co-op and, through hard work and people who believed in me, I was promoted several times until I took the manager role. I led and managed a team of accountants and worked with them to identify ways to improve our business and accounting processes as well as find new ways to challenge them and promote their growth. I\'m experienced in implementing SAP, financial planning and analysis, running successful year end closes and financial statement issuances, and working with outside auditors, tax accountants, and bankers. One of my favorite parts of that role was working with company leadership and with other departments to identify ways to provide better reporting to promote better decision-making and to improve processes to increase efficiency for everyone involved. I am thankful for the opportunities that have come out of becoming a CPA and obtaining a master\'s degree. I\'ve also been able to use my accounting skills to help a non-profit organization steward its resources well and to set up an accounting system of its own.
