ABOUT KELSEY A. WALKER

Kelsey Alexandria Walker is a J.D. Candidate at the University of Miami School of Law with a strong interest in corporate law and a creative, open-minded approach to transactional work. Known for her analytical mindset, attention to detail, and exceptional writing skills, Kelsey is drawn to roles that blend legal precision with strategic thinking. She is currently a Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets Summer Associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP for Summer 2025 and will be returning to the firm as a 2L Summer Associate in 2026 to continue her work in the Corporate group. She looks forward to applying her strengths in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment. At Miami Law, Kelsey is a proud Miami Law Student Ambassador and an active member of Miami Law Women, the Federal Bar Association, the Black Law Students Association, and the First-Generation Law Students Association. She also serves as a 1L Upper-Level Mentor for the 2025–2026 academic year. Kelsey is a recipient of the 2025 Miami-Dade FAWL Foundation John Kozyak & Barbara Silverman Scholarship, the 2025 Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. Bar Association’s Foundation Scholarship, and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award (Book Award), which she earned during her 1L year. She is also a proud member of Iron Arrow, the University of Miami’s highest honor society, recognizing her commitment to leadership, mentorship, and service. Kelsey graduated with a 3.957 GPA and high honors from the University of Miami, where she was engaged in Student Government and held multiple leadership roles, including President of the Iota Nu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She also served the Sorority on an international level as the 2022–2024 South Atlantic Region Representative to the International Nominating Committee. She gained early legal experience through internships at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office (Conviction Review Unit) and the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office (Juvenile Division), where she worked closely with attorneys in preparing cases and conducting legal research. Her academic achievements are complemented by honors such as membership in Omicron Delta Kappa and Kappa Tau Alpha, and awards including the NAACP Image Award \"Rising Star\" and the Iron Arrow Sophomore Leadership Award. Kelsey brings the same drive and strategic focus to legal work that she has demonstrated across her academic and professional journey.
