Kelly G. Richardson is Co-Founder of Richardson Ober LLP. In practice since 1983, Mr. Richardson has established himself as a leader in the fields of common interest community and real estate law, and is a respected trial attorney.He is increasingly in demand as an speaker, author and expert witness on real estate and HOA issues.He enjoys a national reputation in the common interest community (aka \"HOA\") law area, and since 2005 has authored a syndicated weekly column currently appearing in print and/or digital format in 17 newspapers from San Diego to Santa Barbara. A member of the Community Associations Institute, he served for seven years on its international Board of Trustees and was the 2016 National President of the organization. He has created or co-authored many educational offerings including CAI\'s 8 hour DRE-approved California Law Course for Community Managers, as well as its 3 hour Basic Board education Course. Heavily committed to the real estate profession, Kelly is a licensed real estate broker and member of the California Association of Realtors® (CAR). Mr. Richardson serves as legal counsel for several Southern California area Associations of Realtors® and is a member of the CAR Legal Affairs Forum and Housing Committees. He for 20 years was a faculty member and contributing author for the Professional Realty Institute, teaching GRI coursework on risk management, construction and development issues, and reaching hundreds of Realtors® annually. He is a popular lecturer to Associations of Realtors®, professional real estate organizations and major brokerages throughout Southern California.A litigator by background, he has for 41 years prosecuted and defended major cases in construction, business and real estate law. He has successfully prosecuted many multi-million dollar claims; and has defended many multi-million dollar claims for clients, reducing their losses and adverse publicity. He is an Associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an elite organization of jury trial attorneys.
