Prepares for surgical cases by determining adequate circuit size, cannula sizes, and dilutional hematocrit to access the necessity of blood products. Prepares medications based on hospital protocol, sufficiently primes the cpb circuit. • Conducts cardiopulmonary bypass for congenital heart surgeries, administers medications, blood products, and follows direct instruction from surgeons. • Maintains equipment according to user manuals, including but not limited to hemochron QCs, Sorin S5 battery tests, hemotherm monthly maintenance, and GEM cartridge exchanges. • Working knowledge of congenital heart disease, alpha stat, PH-stat, blood gases, ACTs, regional perfusion, direct lower body perfusion, and overall pediatric perfusion practices. • Equipment: Sorin S5 LM, Terumo FX oxygenators, CDI 500, LivaNova Autotransfusion cell saver, hemochron elite, GEM hemotherm heater cooler.• Over 200 pediatric CPB cases performed
