About Kelly Weins
I began gymnastics classes at the age of three. By five, I was the only one in my group that was still attending, and the only one who continued through high school. From day one, I was hooked, there was no way I was leaving. Gymnastics was something that came easy to me, and I excelled in it for the first few years. Around age nine, this all changed. I got the first of many injuries and little did I know, this was just the start of a long line of injuries. The injuries that I’ve had over the years forced me to think about myself and why I continued to return time and time again. I would visit my teammates and listen to some of them complain through the practice when all I wanted was to be able to practice with them. This is when I knew that I wanted to work with others and to keep their love for whatever they’re doing no matter how hard it may seem. To help them perform and be their best. These experiences taught me how to be independent but also how to work with a team. How to share and to understand how others were feeling. How to be spatially aware. How to trust both myself and others. I learned how to stand back up after things got hard, and I learned what it is like to have a passion for something. Now I would say I am passionately curious. I love helping other people and have spent the past years doing this. From being a summer camp counselor to coaching gymnastics to my internships in physical therapy and as a preschool teacher. I aspire to continue to do work that will allow me to aide others in performing and being their best. I am looking for a full-time career where I can apply my enthusiasm, knowledge and skills to help better a company or individuals.
