Education and Skills Liaison @Forces Employment Charity

As the Education and Skills Liaison at the Forces Employment Charity, I am dedicated to bridging the gap between educational institutions and the unique needs of military children. In my role, I collaborate closely with schools, Further Education (FE), and Higher Education (HE) organisations to ensure that the educational and career aspirations of military children are fully supported.My key responsibilities include:Partnering with Schools: Working directly with secondary schools to provide tailored support for military children, helping educators understand and address the specific challenges these students face.Engaging with FE and HE Institutions: Liaising with colleges and universities to create inclusive environments that recognise and accommodate the distinct experiences of military children.Supporting Careers Leads: Offering guidance and resources to careers advisors, helping them to identify and overcome barriers that military children encounter in their educational and career journeys.Advocacy and Awareness: Promoting awareness of the unique challenges faced by military families within educational settings and advocating for policies and practices that enhance support for these students.Through my work, I strive to ensure that military children receive the guidance and opportunities they need to succeed academically and professionally, regardless of the obstacles they may face due to their family\'s service. I am passionate about creating pathways for these resilient young individuals to achieve their full potential and thrive in their chosen careers.
