The Grassroots Advocacy Specialist will be a partner in supporting all advocacy efforts of GCSAA’s GovernmentAffairs department. This position will help ensure the GCSAA’s stance on priority issues preserves and protectsthe future of the game of golf. The Grassroots Advocacy Specialist will manage GCSAA’s Grassroots AmbassadorProgram. They will assist the department in proactively and aggressively advancing the legislative and grassrootsgoals of the GCSAA, as outlined in the Strategic Business Plan, and oversee a formal grassroots network toharness the power of GCSAA members at the local, state and federal levels of government. The position requiresan ongoing dialogue with GCSAA members and chapters on all grassroots advocacy initiatives to drive motivationand relationship building with elected officials in order to educate them on golf course management. TheGrassroots Advocacy Specialist will be proficient in the legislative and regulatory priorities for the GCSAA, asoutlined by the Priority Issues Agenda, and how they impact golf course operations.
