ABOUT KELLY LINDSAY
Proud Founder, and Managing Director of intergenerational charity, Friend in Deed (charity number 11•••25). I have always had a passion for supporting vulnerable elderly people, including those living with dementia, and helping children thrive. Bringing older and younger people together across our communities has multiple benefits and can help solve social issues. Friend in Deed\'s primary aims are to reduce loneliness and promote kindness through intergenerational projects that focus on the human connection. Friend in Deed runs various activities and schemes, such as a ‘Little Visitors’, which sees parents and caregivers take their babies and children into care homes to interact with residents. By creating more friendships across generations, we can help develop more integrated and supportive communities. We need to promote kindness from a young age and ensure that our older people (including those living with dementia) live meaningful lives. Intergenerational friendships should be embedded through all communities to bring people together.
