After 25+ years in the hospitality industry I’m proud and excited to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Operating Officer at Restaurants Canada. Hospitality has been apart of my being throughout my career and I am incredibly motivated to work with the team at Restaurants Canada to ensure this vibrant industry continues to thrive for Canadian communities. As Canada\'s 4th largest employer we bring over $100 billion in sales to the economy.The strength of this industry is in the people! From concept and business development to the people and culture that form the important fabric of each restaurant, I have been intimately involved in some of Canada’s most successful restaurant operations. Beginning my career at The Keg Restaurants, where I forged a sound foundation within the multi-unit chain environment, I crossed over to the creative and resilient independent sector, successfully opening the iconic Financial District restaurant, ki modern Japanese + bar. I have commanded a variety of positions within the restaurant industry throughout my exciting and dynamic career. Now I begin a new chapter joining Restaurants Canada.My leadership development is constant, allowing me to learn something new everyday from those around me. I surround myself with people who are better at their specific job than I could ever be, and together as a team, we are nothing short of remarkable. My intuition, empathy, passion, vision, integrity and emotional intelligence are what I feel make me a strong leader for my team.
