Instruction: In-person, virtual, and hybrid instruction for five sections of high school social studies, including A.P. Macroeconomics, A.P. American Government, on-level Economics and on-level Government, A.P. Microeconomics, United States History, Public Speaking & Argumentation.Supervisory: 12 teachers, 150 students per year.Curriculum Design: Serve as curriculum captain for each discipline which includes curriculum mapping, creation of common assessments using backwards design, and content creation.Instructional Design: Create daily lesson plans for five sections using brain-based theory. Created my own YouTube channel for flipped classroom, instructional design using ADDIE model and agile learning concepts.Technology: Integrate technology including mix-device classrooms, Google Apps for Education, MS Office Suite, YouTube Creator platform, Zoom, Loom, Screencastify, EdPuzzle, Gradescope, Perusall, LMS - Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Schoology. Equity and Inclusion: Participate and lead diversity, equity, and inclusion programming inside and outside the classroom.Collaboration: Serve on campus-wide committees with faculty and students. Faculty mentor for student service projects,religious retreats, clubs, and teams. Organize and facilitate campus events and teach-ins for presidential elections.Public Speaking: Competed and coached competitive speech and debate for 20 years. Train adult speakers, served as workshop presenter and trainer for groups of 250+Awards and Recognition: Economics Teacher of the Year for Arizona, 2019, appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Education Advisory Fellow, 2015, Teacher Advisor for the Arizona Council for Economic Education 2016 to present.
