ABOUT KELLY CABAL

With over 20 years experience in the geotechnical and environmental engineering industry, I’ve discovered a passion for communicating, teaching, and sharing technology. As a co-author of a concise and practical Guide to Cone Penetration Testing, Guide to In Situ Testing and other technical papers, I endeavor to share my knowledge and expertise. I hope to encourage the use of high quality data and innovative technologies across the industry. With a creative eye and innovative ideas, I enjoy working and collaborating with others to realize events and opportunities to connect, educate, and inspire growth in the industry.I am a current board member of the Los Angeles chapter of ASCE Geo Institute and served as the Executive Director of CalGeo for five years. During my time at CalGeo I transformed the organization, inspired growth and change and ushered in a modern virtual space for learning. I am still active as a committee member and cherish the relationships I have through these organizations. As an advocate for women in engineering and leadership, I strive to build connections and encourage mentorship through my volunteer positions and network.As I endeavor to learn and grow professionally, I carry this over to my personal life by earning certification as a person trainer, sailing and scuba certification, and my newest pursuits of golf and pickleball.
