About Kelly Buban
I am currently a student at Fordham University studying journalism and urban studies, with interests in global storytelling, politics, and how narratives shape our understanding of the world. Before graduating from St. George’s School in Rhode Island with the Chapel Prize, I was named a Robin Rogers Scholar, an experience that deepened my interest in the intersection of journalism and politics and strengthened my passion for both fields. At Fordham, I’m taking courses such as Intro to Journalism, Urbanism, Development and Globalization, and Communications and Media. I’m especially interested in using journalism to connect local and global stories, amplify underrepresented voices, and explore how media, urban design, and communication can support communities and have a global impact!
