ABOUT KELLY BROWN

With a dedicated service of 15 years at Interface Children & Family Services, I have been the driving force behind the 2-1-1 program, leveraging local partnerships with health and social services to illuminate and fortify our community safety net. I am deeply committed to carving out accessible pathways for communities of color, moderate to low-income households, and those facing crisis, guiding them towards the resources they need to thrive.Operating round-the-clock via call, text, and web, our 2-1-1 program serves as a beacon of hope for many. But we don\'t stop at simply providing a number. We are consistently pushing boundaries and innovating ways to guarantee successful linkages to the services our community members need most.One of the essential tools for community development is data. Through 2-1-1, we gather invaluable information that allows community leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions about resource allocation. This tool offers a lens into current community needs and service gaps at a granular level, aiding in the development of impactful and effective strategies.In my role as a 2-1-1 leader, I prioritize staff development, strategic planning, forging meaningful partnerships, sustaining funding, and assuring the highest quality of service delivery. As a community leader, I am relentless in my mission to uplift vulnerable communities, eradicate racial disparities, diminish the wealth gap, and foster emerging leaders.Beyond my professional commitments, my life is enriched by my family. Our weekends are often a blend of home-cooked meals, enlightening conversations with my husband and our two teenage sons, and vibrant explorations of California - be it on the open ocean canoeing or discovering hidden gems on the road.Expanding my role to help manage the activity of the community information exchange for Ventura County as the community hub, I carry the same commitment and dedication that has defined my journey so far. Together, we will continue to strengthen our communities and make meaningful impacts on the lives of those we serve.
