   Plans, manages, and implements the Volunteer Services department overall strategic goals and objectives. Develops and implements initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through program/service delivery within the region’s jurisdiction. Designs and implements volunteer recruitment and retention strategies with departments and programs to assist with volunteer development, leadership development and managing goals and objectives. Oversees risk management issues specific to Volunteer Services. Develops and cultivates professional relationships with key internal & external partners/organizations.Conducts needs assessment with regional leadership and staff to determine volunteer opportunities and develops plan for implementation. Evaluates and reports effectiveness of programs or services and prepares recommendations for continued improvement. Participates in communicate/civic activities and events to promote volunteer opportunities. Develops and conducts trainings & presentations to promote Red Cross services and programs to community. Assists in developing, directing and coordinating financial and budget activities to fund operations and maximize efficiency. Monitors program outcomes and results to reinforce organizational accountability. Oversees volunteer recognition programs and activities.Additionally manages the AmeriCorps VISTA program to ensure effectiveness and success within the region; including member recruitment, program management, and all reporting responsibilities throughout the grant year.
