Since our first program at Fort Belvoir in 2008, Links to Freedom has helped thousands of wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, caregivers, and family members experience healing, connection, and renewed purpose through golf. What began as a single program at Fort Belvoir has grown into a nationally recognized model for adaptive and rehabilitative golf instruction. Links to Freedom Golf Foundation provides adaptive and rehabilitative golf programs for wounded, ill, and injured service members, disabled veterans, immediate family members, caregivers, surviving spouses, and Gold Star families. Taught by PGA and LPGA Professionals, our programs use golf as a therapeutic tool to support physical, emotional, mental, and social recovery. Participants learn the game through classroom education, practice facility instruction, and on-course experiences designed to build confidence, resilience, independence, and meaningful connections. Our primary focus is the Warrior, while recognizing that healing often extends beyond the individual. Through golf, participants reconnect with family, community, and themselves in an environment that fosters camaraderie, support, and lasting friendships. We believe golf is more than a game. It is a pathway to freedom, friendship, hope, and lifelong support.
