Develop employer partnerships to increase opportunities for mentorship, shadowing, internships and jobs for students- Enhance career development training and resources for students- Promote career development in the classroom through faculty engagement in career services- Act as career counselor to assist students with the career development process, including clarifying objectives and obtaining occupational information- Help students with career planning through appointments with individuals, online assistance, and regularly scheduled workshops with groups- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, alumni, faculty, employers, and the general public. Initiates contact with employers- Assist students in the career development and planning process, including obtaining information on companies, current opportunities for employment and hiring practices, and making the transition from school to career- Plan and implement job fairs and on-campus recruiting events- Distribute information on internships, summer jobs, and local part-time jobs- Counsel students about graduate school choices, admission, and general financial aid- Maintain/update the career services web site- Promote office to students, alumni, and employers through a variety of marketing efforts- Establish office policies and procedures, prepare regular reports, and collect and analyze research data relevant to the career planning and placement of students and alumni- Assist in the development of a budget, monitor expenditures, and maintain fiscal responsibility.
