About Kelli Cardenas

A highly motivated, first-generation graduate from Florida State University, Kelli majored in Management Information Systems with double minors in Computer Science and Business Analytics. Her major and minors have allowed Kelli to gain hands on experience in Project Management, C++, Database Management, Tableau and Excel. Aside from her college classes, Kelli liked to be involved on campus and shared her passion for technology, problem-solving, collaboration, and culture. During her years at FSU, she participated in the Freshman Leadership Institute where workshops were held to show what being a leader means. She was a member of Dance Marathon and raised over $800 independently for children’s hospitals. Kelli was a part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program during her sophomore year where she found her passion for data analytics. Kelli served as the Vice President of two organizations during her senior year. The Association for Information Systems (AIS) and The Mexican-American Student Association (MASA). Kelli joined AIS as a junior and was elected as the secretary for the 20••••23 academic school year. She gained a lot of experience in public speaking, event organization, and administrative tasks. Kelli joined MASA her freshman year at FSU and instantly fell in love with the organization. She previously served as the treasurer for the 20••••23 academic school year and gained insight on budgeting, cash handling, and fundraising. Kelli enjoyed serving as VP of these organizations while encouraging students to achieve their goals professionally and academically. In the summer of 2023, Kelli interned as a technology risk consultant at RSM US LLP. RSM is the leading U.S. provider of tax, audit, and consulting services focused on the middle market. There, she specialized in internal auditing for business and IT processes. Kelli was able to improve her skills in problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. She was also very involved socially with the firm, attending social and volunteer events when available. The leadership roles that Kelli has, and previously held, as well as the internship at RSM, exhibit her ability to take on many responsibilities, multi-task, solve problems, collaborate, and follow projects through to completion. Kelli shows she is very reliable with a strong work ethic.
